1.WHAT IS YOUR ROLE, AND HOW DID YOU COME TO WORK IN THIS FIELD?
I’m the Founder and CEO of Ghia. I started Ghia because I wanted to create a beverage that felt grown up, social, and complex without alcohol. My background is in brand and retail, and I’ve always been obsessed with building experiences that connect people. This felt like a space where something more intentional and heartfelt could really make a difference.
2. IN WHAT WAYS HAS YOUR WORK SHAPED YOUR IDENTITY AND PERSONAL GROWTH?
The idea for Ghia came from my upbringing in the south of France so in a way it has always been a part of me. Building Ghia has taught me to trust my instincts and stay true to my values, even when the path isn’t clear. It’s pushed me to grow as a leader and reminded me how powerful it is to create something that brings people together.
3. HAS YOUR DEFINITION OF SUCCESS EVOLVED OVER TIME?
Yes, absolutely! Starting a company has taught me that success isn’t just about growth or milestones but that it’s also about learning to enjoy the slower moments, finding joy in the process, and staying connected to why I started in the first place.
4. WHAT KEEPS YOU INSPIRED AND MOTIVATED TO KEEP DOING WHAT YOU ARE DOING?
What keeps me inspired is my incredible group of friends who are thriving in their own endeavors. They remind me every day that passion and dedication can lead to amazing things, and their support pushes me to keep going even when the journey feels challenging.
5. DO YOU HAVE A ROLE MODEL, FEMALE OR OTHERWISE? WHAT LESSONS FROM THEM HAVE INFLUENCED YOUR PATH?
I have so many! A lot of my friends are expanders for different parts of my life so it’s hard to choose just one. Recently, as my friends grow into becoming wives and mothers, I’m reminded these women have this unique ability to expand and take on more in a way that feels infinite.
6. HAVE YOU ENCOUNTERED CHALLENGES/RESISTANCE THAT PERTAINED TO YOU BEING A WOMAN IN THE WORKPLACE? HOW HAVE THESE EXPERIENCES SHAPED YOUR APPROACH TO WORK OR LEADERSHIP?
I’ve mainly decided to disregard any such hindrance earlier in my career. Ghia was founded with inclusivity as a core virtue, and that mindset has shaped how I lead. I focus on creating a space where everyone feels valued, and I’ve always surrounded myself with supportive people who encourage me to lead authentically.
7. WHAT IS YOUR BIGGEST CHALLENGE IN THE WORKPLACE AND HOW DO YOU OVERCOME IT? COMMUNICATION? MANAGEMENT? TIME MANAGEMENT? MOTIVATION? WORK/LIFE BALANCE?
As a founder, my biggest challenge is time management and maintaining a work life balance. Ghia is such a big part of my life that sometimes it’s hard to unplug, but I’ve learned to prioritize what matters most, delegate when I can, and take those moments to recharge—whether it’s spending time with loved ones or just having a quiet coffee with myself. It helps me stay grounded and show up fully for my team and for myself.
8. WHAT UNIQUE PERSPECTIVES OR QUALITIES DO YOU THINK WOMEN CONTRIBUTE TO THE WORKPLACE, AND HOW DO THESE INFLUENCE TEAM DYNAMICS?
I feel really lucky to work with so many amazing women! They bring such a unique, creative perspective and a sense of empathy that makes collaborating with them a true pleasure. A big part of what we do at Ghia is focused on the customer, so those qualities are key, especially when it comes to marketing.
9. WHAT’S ONE PIECE OF ADVICE YOU WISH SOMEONE HAD SHARED WITH YOU WHEN YOU WERE STARTING OUT?
I wish someone had told me that nothing is ever as urgent as it feels. When you are starting out, it is easy to believe everything needs to happen right now, but some of the best decisions come from giving things just a little more space.
10. WHAT’S ONE THING YOU HOPE YOUNGER WOMEN ENTERING YOUR FIELD FEEL EXCITED ABOUT?
I hope they feel excited about the opportunity to build something that feels true to who they are. There’s so much room for new ideas and ways of doing things. It’s an amazing time to lead with intention, creativity, and heart.
11. WHAT IS YOUR MOST CHERISHED PIECE OF CLOTHING?
An old silk Miu Miu dress that has mirrors embroidered on it. I’m not sure why I love it so much but I adore it!
12. WHAT PURCHASE RULES DO YOU HAVE WHEN IT COMES TO CLOTHING?
I’m the type to really sit with a big purchase, especially when it comes to clothes. I wear my clothes to shreds and for years. If I wouldn’t wear it this very evening, I’m not buying it. One of my most worn pieces right now is your medium clutch in espresso - I simply love it.
13. WHAT DO YOU FEEL IS MISSING IN YOUR CLOSET?
I’m totally missing jackets right now. They are so tricky because they have to keep you warm but if you care about matching your outfits, suddenly you need way more than feels reasonable. Ever since I moved to New York, I have realized just how many I am short on!
