There is something almost meditative about making a list of the things we love. Not the grand, unreachable dreams, but the simple, familiar objects we turn to every day. These things, though small, hold meaning. They gather our gestures, absorb our rhythms, and reflect back something intimate—something true. They are the tools of our daily rituals, the markers of our routines. These objects become part of our language, part of our memory.
1. MY VINTAGE LEVIS
Most people think I'm a little crazy when they see my collection of vintage levis. Aside from my wide knitwear selection, I probably own more vintage Levi's than anything else. I hate to admit it, but I might have 50 pairs—and honestly, 80% of them come from the same place. Lindsay is amazing. If you send her your measurements, she'll find you the perfect pair. I first discovered her on Etsy, and we quickly became denim friends.
They take me back to a time in my life when I had just moved to Los Angeles, had no money, and spent weekends treasure hunting in vintage stores and flea markets. There's a sense of nostalgia tied to them—something deeply California and American. And truly, nothing feels sexier than a great pair of Levi's that fits perfectly.
2. MY LIFE ORGANIZER
I'm old school—I need to write everything down. I make lists all day long, juggling everything from collection planning and investor meetings to travel, shoots, and managing my son's schedule. This agenda has been a game-changer. It was recommended by a friend who's a film producer and has to coordinate countless moving parts every day. I can't recommend it enough.
3. MY LIPSTICK
I'm a red lipstick obsessive—I've tried just about everyone out there. But Westman Atelier's Suede Matte Lipsticks are a game changer. Every single shade works. I don't know how she does it. She could be a brilliant colorist. It's not just the lipsticks when it comes to this brand. Its everything and I'll get into that in part 2 of this list.
4. MY JEWELRY
Sophie is a dear friend, and her taste is effortlessly refined and pure. I've collected many of her pieces over the years, and I love wearing them. This ring, though, is the one I cherish most.
When I want to feel less serious and tap into something more creative and playful, I turn to Sonia's jewelry. Her imagination is extraordinary, and her Los Angeles store feels like stepping into a dream. Her brand is a true reflection of who she is—warm, strong, and deeply human. She loves to host, to celebrate, and to share her joy. Her pieces embody that spirit: vibrant, expressive, and full of heart.
And then there is my long time love; Ted Mueling. When I started to have enough money to actually buy a piece of jewelry here and there I went straight to him. He was my first investment. Over the years I have collected many pieces and I never get tired of them. I've had these earrings for over 20 years and they travel with me everywhere I go.
5. MY WALLET
This is a brand I discovered in Japan and absolutely fell in love with. This wallet, in particular, is what I call a self-organizer. I'm never scrambling looking for anything. The leather is beautiful and ages effortlessly. That's the thing about investing in a few well-made leather pieces—they get better with time. I love when the things I cherish show signs of age. It means they've been with me, traveled with me. There's something deeply comforting about that.
6. MY SUNGLASSES
I love sunglasses. It's not so dissimilar to my Levis problem. When you lived in California for 25 years sunglasses are part of a uniform I suppose. I've been around the block here and there are so many great contemporary designers but my favorites come from Retrospecs. It's a beautiful store in Los Angeles and the curated vintage sunglasses are by far my favorites.
7. MY CERAMICS
I will make a list of the things I love for my home but I had to include Victoria Morris on this list because her ceramics were one of the first things I packed when I moved to Paris. They make me feel at home. They bring California to Paris, which is do deeply engrained in my heart. Not only are her ceramics stunning but she is a beautiful creator I admire. Victoria lost her studio in the California fires. Her work needs to continue on so she is a wonderful artist to support right now.
8. MY SECOND SKIN
I hadn’t intended to include anything from CO—but then I stopped to consider the one item I wear more than anything else: our ultra-fine cashmere sweaters. I reach for them instinctively, sometimes five times a week. My wardrobe is stocked with every neutral tone, every iteration—short sleeve, tank, raglan, crew neck, long sleeve. They’ve quietly become the backbone of my everyday uniform.
There’s something almost alchemical about them. Featherweight but warm, soft beyond expectation, endlessly flattering in their simplicity. The silhouettes are pared-back yet precise—each one designed to slip effortlessly into whatever I’m wearing, whether it’s tailored trousers or vintage denim. They bring polish without trying, ease without compromise. These sweaters don’t just complete a look—they elevate it. For me, they’re less of a piece and more of a second skin.
9. MY EYE LINER
I'm Moroccan, and we traditionally use black kohl to line the inside of our eyes. I never wear both lipstick and eyeliner—it's always one or the other. But when I choose eyes, it's always the Victoria Beckham eye pencils. I have them in multiple shades, and every single one is incredible. This is always in my bag.
10. MY FACE OIL
Since I was a teenager, my mother always gave me oils to use on my face—so I've been a face oil fan from the start. Creams alone never feel like enough for me; I need that extra nourishment from oil. The best one I've ever tried, hands down, is Kypris. It smells like heaven, feels like heaven, and leaves my skin glowing. I absolutely love this brand.
11. MY WATCH
My mother gave me her 70's cartier Tank years and years ago and I wear it all the time. However, when I want something more fun and sporty I go for Casio Vintage style watches. They are so affordable and the design is incredible. Not sure if it's because it reminds me of the 80's and is nostalgic for me but this watch gets me so excited. It reminds me that great design does not have to always be expensive.
11. MY SNEAKERS
I was never a sneaker girl—probably the last convert on the planet. I refused to wear them for the longest time. Then I moved to Paris, which is completely different from Los Angeles. It's a walking city, so I was forced to give sneakers a try. I went through countless brands and styles before I finally landed on this one. By now, I've gone through four or five pairs. What I love most is the shape—it doesn't have that awkward look I usually associate with sneakers. And the color palette is perfect. It works seamlessly with my denim and all my suiting. I hate to admit it, but I'm officially a sneaker girl. I guess people do change!
12. MY BELT
This belt is around my waist almost every day—whether I'm wearing jeans, tailored trousers, or cinching a blazer. I have it in nearly every shade of brown, and without fail, someone always asks where it's from.
